Born in Semarang, Central Java, Indonesia, on March 24, 1963. Hengki Koentjoro is a graduate of the Brooks Institute of Photography, Santa Barbara, California, where he majored in video production and minored in the fine art of photography.

Hengki returned to Indonesia to become a freelance videographer/editor, specializing in nature documentaries and corporate profiles, and now lives in Jakarta with his wife Lana and their three children. Hengki is a part time practitioner of the art of black and white photography, which he believes to be his true purpose in life’s journey of expression.

MiniM is a series by Hengki Koentjoro characterized by extreme spareness and simplicity.

Hugo Jaeger was a personal photographer of Adolf Hitler. Traveling with Hitler in the years leading up to and throughout World War II, he took around 2,000 colour photographs of the dictator.

At the end of the war, Jaeger buried the photographs inside 12 glass jars outside Munich. In 1955, he dug them up and stored them in a bank vault. In 1965, Jaeger sold them to Life magazine. Here is a snippet of the many pictures he took of Nazi Germany and of Hitler himself.

They developed a poster which impressively shows the bavarian tattoo artists’ skills: just as tattoo motives tell countless stories, we interwove the most important events of 2011 into one huge tattoo. History was tattooed onto calfskin to promote the art of tattooing in its most authentic form.
